about us
The Hooper collective is a non-for profit established to support the conservation efforts of activist and filmmaker Madison Stewart, named for the character Matt Hooper from Jaws. In a town of people hell bent on revenge, Hooper wanted to save sharks through science, education, and documentation. The Hooper collective creates change in way the world views sharks in a similar manner - through science, education, and documentation. As the fight for the oceans continues, we establish relationships in all corners of the earth, and create content to protect and inspire people around the globe to think differently when it comes to our ocean creatures. Ever since her first shark encounter as a child, Madison has seen population declines in Australia. The Hooper Collective is here to change that.
Mission Statement
The Hooper collective aims to inflict change and shed light on laws exploiting sharks, change the human perception of sharks and fight the trades decimating sharks around the world, while improving the quality of life for humans at threat from these animals.
